I got the intake system in the mail today, I got one nice low quality picture for you all! (phone picture) haha we were really busy today at the shop, didn't have anytime to take pics with the camera or install, hopefully we can get to it asap.

I wonder if the 'in line' MAF device is there to clean up the MAF V signal, they have placed the MAF sensor right at end of tube at filter where there is the most turbulance?
A cleaner signal (I suspect) would be farther up the tube? If in fact the unit negates the need for a tune, i.e. on board MAF scale that that is neat. AEM make good **** though - I do like the gunmetel finish and love the one piece tube. Be nice to get some dimensions on MAF / post MAF tubing Be even better is some coder develops speed density for our platform.

I just ordered a set in the gunmetal/powdercoat finish to match my PG paint. It should be coming from AEM sometime this week so I'll be taking pictures once it arrives.

I do. But I can't afford to do a dyno for just the intakes. I'll probably do a dyno once I get everything installed and do a dyno of before and after tuning (if I end up getting one).

AEM CAI install update:
The windshield wiper bottle WILL NOT WORK with the Nismo Z without modifications to the ducting. The relocated area will also interfere with people running a larger than 25-row oil cooler. |
