Berk HFC Weld Problems

Threw a cel recently and could hear an exhaust leak so I decided to get my hands dirty and investigated. I'm now on my second problem with my Berk HFC's and wanted to see if anyone else has been having issues. About a year ago I pulled the driver's side HFC because the weld joint just downstream of the cat bulge had failed and the pipe had completely separated causing a massive exhaust leak. Under the car this weekend I noticed the passenger side one had the same problem, but I caught it before it completely broke. I was willing to chalk the first one up to a fluke, but now its two separate weld joints that have failed and I'm thinking that there's either a manufacturing issue or someone at the assembly line was having a bad day.

Anyone else having issues with the weld joints on their Berk products?

Do you have the support brace installed? The HFCs are heavier and need this to support the weight. Also does your catback have flex pipes? This can stress the welds as well.

Yes on the support brace and yes on flex pipes. Weird huh?
