How to bring back the “SHINE”

It's a durable metal, it should be fine to use something like that.

Its much "saltier/dirtier" now. Theres a good amount of salt build up on it now, maybe 3 times as more than what you see in the pics. Should I just use car wash soap and wipe it down with a micro fiber and the dry then put some Meguires Polish and buff it down with a MF or?
