I’ve done a quite a bit of research on intakes through the forums. Of all the CAI intake options( Gen 3’s,AAM,Takeda,Admin,etc.) I think Z1 offers the best combination of long tube design, fitment, and ac line protection. But my question is this: Z1 has its own in house filters vs other companies that use K&N or AEM. Is there any data on the filtration capability of Z1 filters? I don’t want to let extra dirt/contaminants into the motor.
I would just go with Gen 3s, but placing the weight of metal piping on my ac lines during hard accelerations (even with wrapped ac lines) makes me a bit nervous. |
