Default Is this a modified exhaust? Short tails wont fit???

Hey all,

I recently bought some short tails for the car, how ever these will not line up.
The owner sent me a picture of his stock setup which is like so:

Notice how the flange is facing straight on and flat.

Yet looking at the underside of my car I can see they are angled:

Did they change the design recently? And what is the best way around this issue. I require the flat facing mids above rather than my current angled ones

Thanks

That’s either an aftermarket exhaust or the factory Nismo S-tune exhaust you’ve got.

Those look like invidia gemini's. Maybe have a shop cut and weld to fit?

It’s a Stillen exhaust. You bought your car second hand?

NVM... on closer look, the left muffler pipe routing and angles are different

Nothing wrong with a Stillen exhaust. Better then stock.

See if you can get one from a wrecking yard or from classifieds. Or get a muffler shop to reroute the pipes for you.

Remove the mufflers, reroute the pipes at a muffler shop to get the flanges to the location you want.

Thanks dude, this probably makes the most sense.

Part of me is tempted to just sell the Stillen and buy a stock nismo exhaust and put the short tails on.

Do you think the stillen + short tails is a combination worth trying?
TBH the Stillen does not sound particularly amazing, I thought it was stock which says it all lol

Stillen gives you ~18 more horsepower over stock. It is better then stock.
