...and are the tips removable and/or adjustable?
|
I just spoke to a local dealer that I've been going through, and he said the evolution has been discontinued. I don't know what to make of this; I thought this exhaust was relatively new.

The Greddy is a bit louder than the Invidia as it’s more free-flowing. It also sounds a little more aggressive so I think it wins there too. I would just probably switch to HFC’s or resonated TP’s to help tame the extra volume compared to my set up. Tips on Greddy aren’t adjustable like the Invidia. Also, your vendor might have confused the Evolution GT you’re after with the old Evo 3. Hopefully that clears it up, but you should be able to buy it elsewhere if not. |
Thanks for that, I didn't even realize that there are two similarly-named exhausts. I confirmed with z1 that they still have access to these.

Fitment is great, and built quality is top notch.

I love it but it's loud asf, especially on cold started. I just added non-resonated test pipes and I feel guilty if I start the car before 7:00am or after 10:00pm. Drones like a bitch between 2.8 and 3.2krpm when under load but you'll get used to it. I just took a sound clip the other day after putting on the test pipes. I'll try to upload tomorrow

Also, for anyone looking to buy it and seemingly can't find it:
When I bought mine, every single retailer said they were out of stock with a backorder eta of several months, including z1. When I asked z1 when they expected to get more, they said had some in stock, even though the website said they're unavailable. I suggest reaching out directly to z1, maybe they still have them |
3 exhaust clips of varying legality. Z1 headers -> Fast Intentions resonated test pipes -> Greddy Evolution dual

Noticeably different as in noticeably louder? Haha! I don’t know how much more volume I can take - lol! |
The Z1 headers make a huge difference in sound. Not necessarily volume, but tone. It’s an equal length header and smooths out the VQ trumpet sound.
Exhaust cams will increase volume. |
