Stillen Gen 2 Intakes

Hi There,
I had a Stillen SS Cat-back Dual Exhaust System installed om my Z last fall. Now I am thinking about installing Stillen Gen 2 Long Duals on her.
I know the Gen 3s are better, but I don't want to be removing the front cowling everytime to clean the filters.
Since I am from Canada, the price to get a kit here is almost $1000.00 bucks.
Is it worth the money for any gains on this intake or should I maybe look to having a dyno-Tune done.
Thanks

wow $1000??? might as well save that up towards a bp kit. the gains will be minimal on those intakes even with a tune. either try to find used gen 3s or save up for boost.

You’re better off buying the Z1 maf tubes and calling it a day.

I suggest purchasing the Z1 CAI. Same gains as the Stillen and no cutting.

Thanks for the replies. Have some homework to do on these pipes.
Here in Canada, you cannot buy sh**t for modding. Buy the time you pay the exchange, shipping, tax, etc, it adds up fast. My exhaust was $2500.00 by the time I got it on the Z.

If you are truly looking for the short ram look and sound of the Stillen Gen 2 intakes go for it. When you decide on your exhaust you like try to hear the exhaust you like on someone else’s Z or hear sound clips of the exhaust you like as exhaust is very subjective and sounds different to other people.

I do have the Stillen exhaust on now, and love the sound. I was just complaining about the price to get it here. Sorry if I mislead. It's the intake I am now not sure if it's worth the cost for the gains. As for sound I have not heard one.

If you have AEM dealers, the new AEM intake is pretty much the same thing with better fitment and non-metal piping. It's cheaper too since they didn't bother with carb exemption, and well, not Stillen.

The Stillen exhaust is a great quality exhaust for our Z’s and has a unique exhaust note depending on what exhaust you pair it with. Overall the Stillen exhaust fits like a glove on our Z’s. You could have someone in the United States purchase the parts for you and ship them to you as it may be less expensive that way. It is up to you if you think installing a intake on your Z is really worth it? First if you install a long tube full length intake such as the Stillen Gen 3 intake both Stillen and Z1 recommend you clean or replace your intake air filter once per year. From what I have seen a lot of people seem to like the ease of cleaning or replacing the air filter with the drop in air filter such as the K&N air filters or the cone style air filters on the short ram intakes like the Stillen Gen 2.

Wow that’s crazy expensive, maybe someone on here could ship it to you for less. I wouldn’t let the bumper removal be your restriction, these bumpers come off easier than you could imagine.

Thank you all for your input. I now have enough info to help me make a good decision.
