Hi All,

For those of you who own a Tomei Cat-back Exhaust. Does your muffler look like this?

I'm not sure if I installed my Tomei correctly, as the bend to the muffler is hanging so low to ground when I'm stock height. I'm planning on lowering my car on Swift Springs and it worries me as I'll end up damaging my exhaust in the near time future.

Yep, very normal. You can try to rotate some pipes around but most guys just get a giant hose clamp and clamp the low hanging pipe and that brace and just tighten the clamp to pull the tomei up. I just sold mine, hah.

Sounds so good though..

Yes indeed that is normal for the Tomei exhaust to hang that low. Actually this exhaust is more track orientated than for street use. Definitely do your research on exhaust. I had a exhaust shop modify my Tomei Expreme Ti exhaust on my old 370Z by purchasing a different exhaust clamp and turning and slightly bending the end of the Tomei exhaust pipe to make it hang higher off the ground. If you can’t do it take your 370Z to a reputable exhaust shop and they can modify your exhaust for you as they have the tools to do this.
