TopSpeed Pro 1 vs. TopSpeed Straight Exhaust. Difference?
Hey guys,
been debating between three different brands that have "muffler delete exhaust pipes" I'm interested in. STM, AAM, and Top Speed. STM muffler delete pipes: STM: STM 370Z STAINLESS STEEL AXLE-BACK EXHAUST / MUFFLER DELETE | STM-370Z-AXLBK AAM muffler delete pipes: AAM Competition - Nissan GT-R, 370Z Turbo Performance Specialists ^ ^ ^ Those two brands and the links to the specific exhaust I'm looking at, really clash head to head for me. I'm leaning more towards STM, but to be honest they're practically the same ****. But then I found Top Speed! Top Speed is interesting, because instead of having only one muffler delete exhaust pipe to compete with STM and AAM, it would appear that they have two pipes that are also $100 cheaper (also the same price). The problem is, I don't know the difference between the "Pro 1 Axle-back" and the "Straight Exhaust". Top Speed Pro 1 Axle-back: Nissan 370Z 370GT VQ37VHR 09-15 Top Speed Pro 1 Axle-back Dual Exhaust Systems Top Speed Straight Exhaust Axle-back: NISSAN 370Z Z34 BASE & NISMO 09-14, Infiniti G37 VQ37VHR 09-14, 370GT COUPE 09-14, Q60 COUPE 14-16, Dual Axle-back Straight Exhaust System (Bevel Edge Tips The "Pro 1" looks to be a similar version of STM's and AAM's resonated muffler delete exhaust... however, it's not advertised as such and is, again, the same price as it's thinner "Straight Exhaust" brother. My question is, what are the differences between the Pro 1 and the Straight Exhaust? Because at this point, I'm really intrigued by the price of these pipes and I'm set on buying either one, just need to figure out exactly which one. Let me know your thoughts... and please understand that I'm NOT looking into spending top dollar on a whole new full exhaust setup (as of rn), which is why I'm only looking into this alternative that MUST be done. My ear-boner begs to be released from this stock oem muffler cuck torture!!! |

One thing to realize is that exhaust components and running naturally aspirated on our 370Z’s gets expensive quick. If you don’t want to spend much on your exhaust I would always recommend doing a muffler delete on your Z. Even though the stock Nissan oem muffler is not the bottle neck in the 370Z exhaust system it does not flow every well, restricts freeing up power, and does not have much sound and tone. In my opinion the STM and Top Speed exhaust components are poor quality and the AAM Competition short tail exhaust is excellent quality and fitment, the AAM Competition exhaust sounds great, and they are a great reputable company to deal with. All the muffler delete exhaust kits are pretty close in sound and db’s just boils down to what your preference is.
