Berk HFC and AAM Short Tails
Wasn't entirely to sure where to put this.
Is anyone running this setup? How loud is it actually. Also low are the tones. Does it growl? Pur? Fart? |
That's just the AAM short tails (resonated). HFCs will make it louder and sharper from what I've seen on the other Zs here in Denver, but the tone stays about the same. Just the short tails though was loud enough that it annoyed the neighbors when I left the house at 6am, and I hate being "that guy". But what really sucked was the resonance in the car; at highway speeds the trunk area would buzz, the headliner would buzz. Hell, stuff inside the dash would buzz. So I went back to the stock nismo exhaust until such time as I can justify a real four-digit cat-back solution that sounds better than stock, but isn't as boy racer about it. |
damn, if your annoying people at 6am. Im in a car garage for my apartment complex. and i leave for work at 4:30am. How many times could i get away with it before they knew it was me xD.
But then again, there are supercars in this garage. So i dont know boys, do we find out xD |
Heh.
Yeah, I'll probably spring for a full cat-back from Fast Intentions. I really like the way it sounds on some of the other Zs; more muscle car rumble than euro sport sharpness - if that makes any sense. :) |
Sir, we are of the same engine and wheelbase, I know exactly what your talking about

Ran the un-resonated version of this setup with AAM 2.5 pipes for years. - That was pretty loud.
If you want to hear how that sounds you can download this short video clip. https://www.dropbox.com/s/svvda023qu...Tails.MP4?dl=0 *audio warning It gets loud at the end. Idle is nothing special. |

But yes, I am old compared to some members here. Shame on me. |

I had Berk HFC but was so lazy to put it on, and someone wanted it. so away it went. But the AAM/AAM combo might be doable as well. time to scavenge hunt in part sale section |
