So is anyone coating their long tube headers with something like this...

White Lightning Exhaust by Swain Tech for Automotive Coatings including engine piston coatings, ceramic coating services engine, automotive ceramic coating, ceramic header coating, dry film lubricant, race engine coatings, exhaust header coating

or just wrapping them with heat shields? Which one would be better?

There are two lists but I am building them as they were ordered. Not car specific...

Thanks, Tony

I just got back from getting a fresh baseline dyno on my car in preparation for my LTH installation, if anyone's interested. I posted the results here --> Semtex's Monterey Blue 370Z

I got my headers in today! Pics to come later, and possibly a DIY. If I can DIY, that money will go to a tune. Otherwise I may have to hold off for a bit. Quick Q, with intake headers and cbe, will I be too lean for daily driving without a tune for a little while? Will the ecu do what it needs to to keep operating safely or will it blow itself up randomly?

With the injen cai I would assume you would be ok. It's the stillen cai that would run too lean. Injen tunes their intakes for safe a/f ratios. This was always the case on all the injen intakes I've had for any car.. Hopefully Tony or someone else can chime in on this as well.

LOL. Okay I guess maybe I should elaborate on what I had in mind. What I had in mind was a dyno. Run the car for a few days after the install so that the ECU can adjust, then go get a dyno and have them measure the AFR. Then you'll know if it's lean or not.

Would an A/F gauge be a good idea once you start knocking out all the mods? Or is it unecessary for the basic tuner until you get into more elaborate mods?

(Personally I like gauges, I like knowing what all's goin on under the hood lol)

I don't think it's a necessity. But yeah, a Scangauge would be cool, like the one that Modshack has. I guess it just depends on one's geek level.
