this is what I am scared of... Tony and others have said they have soaked them and has no problems , while others have said they are cross threaded from the factory...

if that happens to me I am going to angry!

Also, What seems to be the said amount of hours for the install and the price ?

I'm finally getting in on these too, soon as my order gets through the line :)

I had to get one new sensor. one came off without a problem but the second one wouldn't budge. soaked. heated nothing helped. tom was scared that he would ruin the thread on the cat for when we need to put the exhaust system back to stock for the checkup.

Did mine ship out Tony?

Back on my first header install, I also lost one sensor in the process. The second one we tried, we had much better success with though. I really think it came down to different techniques, rather than differences between the two. In both cases we tried WD-40 and applying heat with a torch (to the cat near the O2 hole, not to the sensor! :)). The torch helps, but a longer soak time on the WD (before heating) helps even more. Getting the cat locked down in a good vise, and setting up a wrench on the O2 so that you can get a little impact on it (hammer + wrench) helps as well.

Tony, did my headers ship out yet?

One_Quick_Z 04-15-2011 08:55 AM

Are you serious, mine were originally suppost to be here on the 12th, then I was "promised" they would ship out buy the 18th. I think I'm going to have to call Tony & see what's up. And yes, I know he's a busy guy...(no need to say it)

wstar 04-15-2011 10:31 AM

So much of this thread is people whining about ship dates. You know they're backordered and working their asses off to make your money. Anything under a month late when they're estimating 2 month backlogs is par for the course imho. Take a chill pill, nobody's going to die from a slightly late exhaust component :)

I'm perfectly chill bro, so don't worry about me. A lot of people misinterpret the tone of a post, it wasn't of anger but of just being surprised.

It wasn't a question, but just more of a statement, I've spoken to Tony plenty of times before & he knows I got much respect for him & his products, so :ugh2:

Okay, then if you have that respect then just sit back and let the man do his work, he'll get these headers and other parts done as soon as he can. 15 people going "Where's my stuff??" every day isn't going to get it made any sooner, not really a personal thing at you bud, just sayin there's a lot of people who come on these threads asking, and it's simple, when it's done, you'll be notified or it'll be shipped. Just let that be that...

NewYorkJon34 04-15-2011 09:07 PM

I know I see it all the time on bullitts/GTM thread. Plus we're all men here, I learned not to take anything on this forum personality. If I'm excited about a new product I might post once every 2 weeks or so. I know they will be perfect & I be putting a review up of them. So I'll leave it as that...see ya in 2 weeks :tiphat:
