Tony - With all of these threading problems and people loosing o2 sensors, if someone has an install done @ F.I., do they need to bring/buy o2 sensors, or are you guys able to save them from the stock systems?

My horror story because of how shitty Nissan put together my car:
My stock headers were destoryed by the threading from the primary sensors. I had to order the stock exhaust manifolds, both primary sensors, and the dealer charged me quite a lot because the threading in the cats were cross threaded. Not fun. Total came out to $3594 right out of my debt account. messed up thing is my buddy bought an 06 Z06 w/ 30k miles for $38k (I paid $36,800 for my 370z), had the roof recall issues resolved by the dealer(we still have this BS oil cooling problem), took it to RPM motorsports to get their smog legal package which includes killer bee cf intake intake, ported TB, fast 102 manifold,VERY light/mild cam, corsa exhaust, and tune all for just over $7,000. his car makes 520rwhp AND passes smog!!, he has logged more miles on his Z than I have on my Z and has no problems except his roof was comming off LOL. All together he paid for the car itself and mods is $45,000 (not including tax or interest rate on anything else that varies; insurance etc) and I paid $43,800for my 370z (including all the mods I did and dealership bs and rental for a week while my car was there on my own dime) and his car still blue books $5000 higher more than mine and since the price on it so low he'll be able to sell it WAY easier. I GOT :owned: Just waiting for a TT 370z to be able keep up with his beast so I can at least throw that in his face :tup:

But I will say I miss having the headers on my car since it seems slow now on the low end.

Don't you know by now that Nissan over tightened everything on this car, everything from the oil filter to the shift knob needs a death grip to take off, lol

Yeah, everything except the 99 rattling parts in my dashboard/doors :rolleyes:

INSTALLED!!! :happydance::happydance:

Zero issues with the O2 sensors.

The (2) top Cat bolts were a PAIN! Got them with a 3/4" impact and some long extensions.

How does it sound?

vipor 07-17-2010 07:05 PM

A little raspy, you can hear the air moving through the system very well now. More throaty for sure. Deeper and a little louder at idle; the rasp really kicks in about 3300 or so. I'll get some window down driving in this evening.
