Motordyne vs Meisterschaft?
Ok so the two exhausts said to have the most unique and best sounds on the forums, no one really compared them before, I wanna know your opinion. Which one do you think is better? Here's two videos from youtube to help you judge
I'm gonna hopefully order one of these for my Nismo Z. We are ignoring price for this one, just talking about sound, performance, looks, quality, etc... (sorry new to forums don't know how to make embedded videos work) Last edited by Trips; 10-13-2017 at 04:38 PM. |

I can't argue with motor dyne, the product is in my opinion significantly superior. only company I would consider above them is Nvidia, but I can't justify there pricing

I pulled the trigger on the Motordyne Shockwave exhaust! It’s actually shipping out today, can’t wait!
I narrowed down my choices to these two as well and added the Tomei Expreme into the bunch. I had a Tomei in a WRX, so I knew it was a quality and great-sounding exhaust. In the end, it will be up to you, but you can’t go wrong with either of these two. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

You can't justify the pricing on the Invidia exhaust? It's almost half the cost of the Motordyne... or am I misinterpreting what you were saying?

One factor was the price. The axleback is roughly $1900, plus the midpipe (to connect to the cats) is another $600...ouch!
Don’t get me wrong, the GT Haus Meisterschaft exhaust sounds awesome, but I liked the sound a little more out of the Shockwave exhaust. Plus, the look of the angled exhaust canisters (and the weird but cool resonators on top of each muffler) reminded me of a 5Zigen exhaust I had in my ‘95 Civic Si. To me , the sound (almost like that of an exotic engine) and the cheaper price (by no means cheap, but the craftsmanship makes it worth it!) were my deciding factors. Good luck in your choice! (If you do go with the Motordyne, check out JM Auto Racing...darn good price) |

Both amazing exhaust setups/sound.. I had a shockwave on my g35 and boy was it fun! Quiet when it needed to be , but screamed when you open up that VQ power .. Comes down to preference .. For me shockwave Wins.. have to hear them in person to get a true idea

I have not heard Motordyne so can compare. With that said, I am very happy with my setup which is Berk HFC, nismo stock mid-section and Meisterschaft axle-back.
This clip is quite accurate although in normal driving there is more burble and pop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfpXb1YiLsY Also, I recently did an HPDE at the Mid-Ohio track and the sound got LOTS of positive attention from others there. It was a really fun weekend hosted by the Northern Ohio Porsche Club. Lots of beautiful cars! |

The only cats I have had on my car are stock and Berk. I chose Berk because this forum seemed to be quite big on them. I wanted something less restrictive than stock yet still throwing no codes. |

I like the way the axle back GTHaus sounds (friend's car):
but anything extra like midpipe or straight through sounds terrible IMO. Here's my MD with test pipes. I plan on eventually getting the MD LTH: |

I research the exhaust a lot. I ended up selecting motordyne catback exhaust. It was extremely easy to install and fit right up perfectly. Alignment and everything was spot-on. The sound is excellent. The V clamp connections make it simple to install. I then purchased motordyne LTE XYZ headers. Have not installed the headers yet but I have had them ceramic coated inside and out. I will be installing them along with the resonated test pipes that go with them in early December. I will keep you posted on how the motordyne headers resonated test pipes and motordyne Cat-Back exhaust all sound together. I love my motordyne exhaust and can't praise it enough.
