*Tomei clone* exhaust review

A company known as Rev9 has made a single exit that appears to copy the tomei in almost every aspect. I bought the stainless steel version for $257 after a coupon on ebay and making an offer to the seller. Normal price is $297 on ebay. They also make a titanium version.

Here's a quick review as of install and day 1 of driving.

Install: Relatively easy other than a few hiccups. There are minor clearance issues.
-Flanged pipe with resonator is sitting on the W-brace. This is due to the lack of a hump in the pipe between the flange and resonator. I may change that.
-Middle section (curved pipe with no resonator) is about 1/4 of an inch away from touching the rear sway bar.
-Quality is darn impressive for the price. The welds are TIG and are very clean. The pipe is sturdy as anything and I used a magnet to confirm it is true stainless. It did not stick at all.

The only time it makes metal on metal noise is during a cold start, but I believe I can get back under and make a few adjustments.

Driving:
-In my biased opinion, it's perfect. The larger (than tomei's) mid pipe resonator keeps drone down on the highway.
-I had top speed resonated muffler delete before this. It is slightly louder, deeper, and more aggressive than that setup.

Sound clip and pictures to come soon. I'll report on the fitment after attempting to make a few adjustments.

Only time will tell if this is truly a quality product. However, based on the price, I would say that it's far from decent quality.

True- I'm almost certain this came out of the same factory that makes the top speed, beluga, DNA, etc.

That pic makes it look like its touching the w brace... is it touching? I have a beluga that sits on the w brace :(.

Looks great though! Update with video clip!

2-3 washers on the hanger is all that's needed.

Yep it's touching the w brace. I tried to make adjustments but no luck so far, though whatever I did helped some since there are less vibrations when cold.

Video coming soon!

Cold start, warm start, and then some 3-4k RPM shifting. The resonators are still breaking in since it's still smelly.

Thanks for the update! anyway I can get that coupon? lol

Here's an update. Managed to space things out just about right so it's not hitting anything anymore. It no longer stinks so the resonators are just about all settled.

I can vouch for the build quality of the kit made by DNA. It's an Ark Grip v2 replica and it does a damn good job for the price. Fitment will always be the struggle with cheaper kits but the welds are excellent and the material used has been holding up so far after 6-8 months.

How is the ground clearance?

I'm stock height and haven't scraped once. It's slightly lower than stock height at the lowest point.
