I have AAM short tails, great sound, bit too quiet for my tastes though. Art pipes are art pipes, obviously great product, however, my car came with a pair of FI resonated test-pipes that I've just had sitting around. That's a BIG chunk of change saved if I stick with those.
Curious to see if anyone has had both and can give somewhat of a sound (not torque) comparison. Most youtube videos are of non-res TP's and sound horrendous, I'm trying to see if the resonators make enough of a difference to save a good $600 on the ART's. I've heard ART pipes barely sound louder than high-flow cats, then there's youtube videos where they idle like a cammed V-8. Most test pipe videos sound really, really ricey and cheap (but they aren't resonated)...... hard to tell by youtube videos so if anyone has had, or been around both, please chime in. |
