Z1 Motor Mounts with stock exhaust...
So I purchased the Z1 Motor Mounts with no plans of doing the headers. (Big Mistake) I have all of the heat shielding off on the passengers side and the motor mount in. On the drivers side though, there's a bolt for the shielding that's on the inside of the header... Impossible to get to. Has anyone done motor mounts on our cars with factory headers. If so, what all did you do. Thanks in advance! :( I'm tired...https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...98c189b77d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1d16674f3c.jpg

You need a smaller picture. It's so big. I can't see anything.

Tapatalk is nice but I couldn't edit the pictures after taking them like I wanted. Ill see if I can finagle something. I ended up getting the screw out and the motor mount in but this is after days of playing with it while working on other mods

Installing LTH's on that side takes about 6 hours. The other side takes only 45 minutes. :icon14: That heat shield is a PITA!!!

You didnt need to take the heat shields off to do the mounts. Mine have been on for 3 years but I think I just evacuated the a/c and moved the lines out the way.

If i remember correctly you will have to remove the heat shield from the driver side manifold to access all four bolts that hold on the up motor mount to the block. i used a small boxed end wrench and a swivel to remove it. Another way is to loosen and remove the ac lines out of the way, which should give enough room to access the bolt on the heat shield. Once the heat shield is removed you can lossen the four bolts on the upper mount which will give yourself some wiggle room to remove the oem rubber mount out of the way. you will have to jack up the motor a few inches.

I was able to get the bolt out but had to pull theheader to get the shield it. The mounts in so it's just going to be a lot of slowly putting things back together. Ill know next time how to attack it. I appreciate the help guys. When I do invest in headers. I'll be well ahead of the game.
