Berk Technology 370Z Cat-Back exhaust GB 1&2 Updates!

Facts:

1. We couldn't be happier about the sound, power output, and look of the exhaust. We are postponing the release of the product so we can make final adjustments to our manufacturing process. One bend is a tiny bit off and we need to make adjustments to make sure that we are delivering you a product that I would put my name on. Delays are just as frustrating to me but I would much rather delay the release of this exhaust and give you a product that is as close to perfect as possible vs. rush production and deliver an exhaust that has issues.

2. Group Buy #1 people have been waiting (for a long time) to get these exhausts. I hate delays just as much as you do. They are frustrating, annoying, and if we (Berk) is causing a delay then you should be compensated for your wait time. Group Buy#1 people will receive an instant $100 product credit on your exhaust purchase. The GB#1 customers have waited and I feel you deserve the product credit! This is in addition to the free shipping we are giving those of you who have purchased Berk HFC's in the past.

3. There is one active Group Buy on the Berk 370Z Cat-Back exhaust through BMS. That group buy is here: http://www.the370z.com/group-buys/12...tml#post323082

4. Release date: I cannot promise our end of Dec deadline at this time and it will run into Jan. We are working to push this out as early as possible but again, we will not release something that isn't up to our standards.

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us via PM, email, or phone.

Yep, don't rush out a product that doesn't fit right. No one wants to force something to fit by heating and bending.

radio5boro 12-16-2009 04:49 PM

already pm'ed and making payment now :)

Yep, have had in like this since the first delay, but after the videos I got a smile on my face and glad to wait (100USD is nice also).

B1nks 12-16-2009 06:00 PM

I REALLY love the sound and tone of this exhaust, it fits the Z perfectly.

dyno results

Do you have any dyno results yet?

M.Bonanni 12-19-2009 12:03 PM

^^^Yes, but only on a car already equipped with the Berk HFCs. The combo together made 36whp.

36 seems really high to me.

For both HFC & CBE?
Probably not, considering the first couple things you do to this car really open it up. You do good intake plus HFC you will probably get similar results almost.

mpp9 12-19-2009 03:52 PM

Yea I'd like to see a dyno stock and with berk hfcs and catback on the same day. 36 at the wheels is more than what f.i. got with longtube headers.

fatcat777 12-19-2009 05:17 PM

I'm currently debating between this and the FI. i like the looks of the berk better a dyno results of this setup.

Red370 12-19-2009 06:12 PM

once these get put into production and there isnt a waiting list to speak of, I might consider buying one.

fatcat777 12-20-2009 11:57 AM

can we get some close up pics of the tips? mainly to see how far they stick out of the back.

Yeah and how big are the berk tips compared to the stock tips?

SilverBullet 12-20-2009 01:18 PM

It looks good. Very low key, stock look.

MightyBobo 12-20-2009 09:47 PM

Thanks for the updates Berk and Mike - you both know I cant wait for mine, and Im extremely happy I jumped on board for GB #1. Going to be a fun winter installing parts :)

They don't really protrude any further than the stock tips. 2mm more at the most.

roplusbee 12-22-2009 03:26 AM

How about groud clearance? Should be about the same as stock also right? That way I can start saving up for some coilovers.

If you guys are dumped then you'll scrape the bottom of the exhaust near the rear wheels on any exhaust, stock or otherwise. Our ground clearance is no better/worse than stock.

roplusbee 12-23-2009 05:00 PM

Good. That is exactly what I wanted to hear. From the pix that I have seen, it looks to be about the same as the stock hieght. I can't wait to get it and put it on. Thanks.

Shift 12-24-2009 08:20 PM

OH Happy Days will be here soon.......Bring it Berk can't wait.
Bobo you can head north for 40 mins and use my garage.

MightyBobo 12-24-2009 11:05 PM

NORMALLY I'd take you up on the offer, however, I have a fully stocked auto hobby shop on my base here with plenty of lifts/air tools to work with. I'd offer you to bring yours down if you don't have a lift, but they wouldnt let you in anyway :(

phantom21 12-25-2009 03:50 PM

If there are not 10 people for the GB, what will the price be if we have put down our deposit?

Now just claim you'll make it out of carbon fiber, have everyone pay in advance, and then string everyone along with excuses every few weeks over the next 9 months :)

Berk Exhaust

What do I need from me to get on the list for the Berk exhaust?
Also what would be your pick for cai. I am concerned about the stillen gen3 long tube because of hyrdo lock. Also the tubes do not get as much air as the should some type of inlet screen should put into the front right over each filter for more direct air flow.
I am going piece by piece with upgrades.
I purchased this car and the next day I was made an offer for a 370z sport package for 34500 out the door tax ,tags. I should have waited. But I did get a good deal for the base $29055

Someone took a video or picture of them driving in a hella downpour and had 0 issues with the Stillen kit hydrolocking.

Berk exhaust, you just need to head over to the thread and probably toss a PM or two. They'll probably want some monies down to guarantee your spot.

No huge deal not getting the sport package...but it did have some nice perks people enjoy :)

What they don't like Navy Vets???

I know what your taking about we had the same set up in Cali on base.
Even pondered something simular for the private folk off base. As a start up Biz.

Yeah I have actually. Although you'd be forced to find every potential legal loophole that someone might try to pull on you thanks to their dumbass fault for either 1) jacking their own car up or 2) jacking THEMSELVES up.

Shift 12-26-2009 02:48 PM

I have the Gen III on my ride. On the 13 I was in Culpepper, VA. Had to drive 3 1/2 hours home in the rain. No issues at all, well other than my baby getting all wet.

That was Wstar in Houston, I remember that storm and it was bad (I did not have my Z yet). You will be fine with Stillen Gen 3, if you are concerned about airflow (which it already is pretty great so far), you can check out the Stillen aftermarket bumper they are working on.

To get on the GB list I will need the $300 deposit.

As for intakes, I wouldn't worry about hydro lock on any of the current intakes out there being sold. I personally really like my Injen intakes but the Stillen ones are also really good. Only downside about the Stillen is that you have to do a little bit of cutting.

theDreamer 12-28-2009 03:09 PM

Hey Mike, any new updates on GB 1 on shipments?
