Cool Berk Exhaust

What do I need from me to get on the list for the Berk exhaust?
Also what would be your pick for cai. I am concerned about the stillen gen3 long tube because of hyrdo lock. Also the tubes do not get as much air as the should some type of inlet screen should put into the front right over each filter for more direct air flow.
I am going piece by piece with upgrades.
I purchased this car and the next day I was made an offer for a 370z sport package for 34500 out the door tax ,tags. I should have waited. But I did get a good deal for the base $29055

Someone took a video or picture of them driving in a hella downpour and had 0 issues with the Stillen kit hydrolocking.

Berk exhaust, you just need to head over to the thread and probably toss a PM or two. They'll probably want some monies down to guarantee your spot.

No huge deal not getting the sport package...but it did have some nice perks people enjoy

Yeah I have actually. Although you'd be forced to find every potential legal loophole that someone might try to pull on you thanks to their dumbass fault for either 1) jacking their own car up or 2) jacking THEMSELVES up.

I have the Gen III on my ride. On the 13 I was in Culpepper, VA. Had to drive 3 1/2 hours home in the rain. No issues at all, well other than my baby getting all wet.

That was Wstar in Houston, I remember that storm and it was bad (I did not have my Z yet). You will be fine with Stillen Gen 3, if you are concerned about airflow (which it already is pretty great so far), you can check out the Stillen aftermarket bumper they are working on.

To get on the GB list I will need the $300 deposit.

As for intakes, I wouldn't worry about hydro lock on any of the current intakes out there being sold. I personally really like my Injen intakes but the Stillen ones are also really good. Only downside about the Stillen is that you have to do a little bit of cutting.

Default Dyno Test for Cold air intakes

I think that the data supplied for dyno test is suspect to me. After 23 years in aero space and calibrating orifice plates, venturis and other flow devices. the outside ambient air temperature or the air getting to the filter is the controlling factor in how much hp is to be gained. The colder the outside air temperature air density increases so volume increases and greater HP gains.
The hotter the ouside air temp density decreases and less HP gains. Radiated heat from the engine compartment has to play aprt in this also. The tube have to stay at least the same as the inlet air From what I gather most of the testing has been done in California and I have not seen a lot of data. I would like to see some dyno testing here in Florida. Then some road testing on the highway and see what the cai inlet temps are and temps after mass flow meter especially when your sucking in road temps that get to 120degf. A 30deg swing in ambient temp can really effect the out come. I know that I may be nit picking but I truly believe that HP gains are going to be erratic from one part of the country to the other. 1 don't have a clue as to what that would be but I would guess that it could be as much as a 5HP spread.

What is does air temp at the throttle body need to be to produce 18 hp gains consistantly?

Let me kown if I am on the wrong track with any thing or has my engineering been getting in the way and just old nit picking. Working on Jet engines we were always trying to squeeze the most thrust at any conditions. Wether it was at sea level or altitude.
