Holy large picture batman!

"eBay exhaust", so I can't say I'm real surprised. That's a crap load of rust too for something that's supposed to be "stainless".... But again, I guess I shouldn't be real surprised. How long did that actually last?

Glad I didn't go that route though. I briefly looked at the ebay exhausts before ordering from Fast Intentions. Which still looks the way it did when I put it on.

Sounds terrible but wow that picture is too big man... For real. My phone doesn't doesn't zoom out that far. Scrolling to the end of it was like 5 swipes.

ZeroZeta 08-25-2017 03:18 PM

yeah don't think that will buff out.. Maybe JB weld before new exhaust?

Thanks for sharing the warning for the other members!

Nixin 08-25-2017 03:22 PM

Yup, I knew someone was going to post something like this. Next time, buy a Fast Intentions CBE. You will not be having this issue.

brianx42 08-25-2017 03:49 PM

sorry! I don't know how to change the resolution of the picture. I'm thinking about getting a tomei as my next exhaust

Mesh joints...Nuff said. Sorry for the troubles.

cooltoy 08-25-2017 05:10 PM

That's why we have Fast Intentions.

daveb91 08-26-2017 06:39 PM

Damn dude where do you live I have that same cat back since 2014 and it is still nice and shiny

Elmo370z 08-26-2017 08:41 PM

going cheap is never the answer

Spooler 08-26-2017 09:20 PM

Did you drive this thing in the winter? That appears to be some serious rust cause by road salt.

Rusty 08-26-2017 10:47 PM

Looks like 400 series stainless. Thin weld, not enough rod in the fillet. Looks like it went through some hot/cold cycling and crystallized. Get it red hot and spray cold water on it.

I have beluga axle back on my nismo, i have non res test pipes and it sounds fantastic fits decent for the price and ground clearance is top notch compared to my fast intentions no complaints here

Nixin 09-01-2017 09:02 PM

Your Belugas are top notch compared to your Fast Intentions? :roflpuke2:

Waiz 09-01-2017 11:14 PM

Wtf is Beluga? Just from the name alone I would pass lol

NRGz 09-02-2017 05:59 PM

Pretty common off ebay stuff. Most of the time its problem with the welds.
Imo getting a used-name brand may save you some money vs new, but are usually a few dollars more vs new ebay stuff.

Not sure it may help but maybe a shop can fill it in with welds?

Never said that, they sit up higher so they dont scrape and the tips extend enough so they dont make my bumper sooty. I loved my fast intentions, but didnt like the fitment of the tips nor i enjoyed scraping the mufflers

+1 When purchasing exhaust you get what you pay for 99% of the time. You are better off selecting your exhaust for your Nissan 370Z on sound and your favorite brand than based on price. Thanks for sharing your experience with these people.

I don't not trying to advocate Beluga or cheap parts in general over a company like Fast Intentions but I have the same set up with res test pipes and always get complements about how good/mean it sounds :ugh2: . A few guys at a meet last night felt like motordyne sound better then FI cuz it was too quite. It goes both ways I guess :stirthepot:

+1 on the Beluga Axle back. I have had mine for about 6 months and they are still in excellent condition and sound very good. I have zero complaints as of right now. did you talk to beluga at all about the problem OP? I bought mine from them directly and they were pretty nice on the phone. if you ask me, my axle backs from beluga were worth every penny paid for them and I would buy them again.

Juan@Fontana 09-06-2017 01:13 PM

I have a fast intentions cat back in stock if you'd like to switch it up :)
