From what I've ever seen, if you have paper filters, they should be dry. Oily paper filters could indicate a sticking or clogged PCV valve. Oiled filters are fabric and wire mesh. Check out some of the test results online that show how much particulate can pass thru oiled fabric filters. Kind of scary. Thats fine dirt going right to your valve stems and cylinder walls. Just another thing to keep you awake at night
