Stay factory with K&N drop in filters. Do the hoses from the Map to the intake. Your done.

Post maf tubes and K&N drop ins... been around since 2009. Tested within a crew hp of a CAI. Just take some time to research. This is a very common mod.

As previously mentioned, if your not willing to remove the front fascia (which is really easy by the way) then just go with the MAF tubes and good high flow filters (K&N or similar).

You don't want to pull air from the hot engine compartment. If you don't want to pull the front cover to install a third-party CAI, the recommendations above (free-flowing filters and pipes) are your best bet. You might want to look into insulating the piping, filter box, etc.

I haven't pulled a 370Z front cover but, going by what I've read on this site and others, it's not a difficult job. Buy a handful of the rivets used to mount the cover - most people break at least one during the job. The FSM (link in my sig) has the procedure for R&Ring the cover (with drawings and other helpful info) and there are several DIYs on this site.

I've been researching this for a couple of weeks now and this is what I am doing to my car. Already go the K&N filters just waiting to get the post MAF tubes from CZP. (Best price I have found so far.)

Good plan.

As others have echoed.. taking off the front bumper is super easy. After doing it the first time I can get it done in about 5 minutes now.

This is what you need. Only $216.00

What you posted will suck in hot air from the engine compartment. The stock set-up gets fresh air from behind the bumper.

It might be worth your while if you are planning to have your car tuned at some point.

Like 500 new or find used for 400, cheaper if your lucky. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.

Some would say yes, others no. If your looking for the best bang 4 your money you should probably go with the MAF tubes, as the stock air intake on the Z is well designed and functional, or so that is what I have read here.

Not the easiest of choices perhaps do what your funds and budget will allow you too.

Here's the Stillen G3's.

https://www.z1motorsports.com/air-in...it-p-3847.html

You can pick up a set used a lot cheaper if you are willing to wait. Someone always have a set for sell.

The other side of this is. What are your plans for the Z. What other mods you want to do?
