Takeda attack with stillen air filter .. possible?
Is it the same size as the stillen ? If yes i want to do thi because i think one filter for both size looks bad for tuning
|
Yep, I use the gen3 sized filters on my takeda attack. Fits great in my opinion

Hard to say - I’m not sure I could feel a difference, but there is more filter surface area with the 2 separate filers than the single takeda.
2 filters are also much easier to intasll since you don’t have to line up both sides so exactly |

I didn't have to modify mine at all, just bought the two filers installed them and that's it

Waste of $ that could go to other mods. Buy Stillen is you want to do this or stick with AFE Takedas.

A little but there is a thought behind the single VS the dual. Single filter the TB's fight for the same air, dual each TB has it's own path. This was reason I went that route and to "feel" a difference something changed |

An I didn't use Stillen filters, I grabbed a set at Advanced Auto :) I think they were 10 inch filters. I have tread somewhere about the swap I did. |

Definitely don’t have to cut the piping - and you can also do better than stillen filter size I believe, By getting longer single filters. I forget what size will fit, maybe 7” length?
I think the flexibility of not having to cut the radiator support with the easy install of 2 filters made it worth it for me. That said, I did wind up cutting the radiator support anyway. Ha. |
Thoughts on using the Z1 filters?

I liked the idea, but they wouldn’t fit.. the internal diameter is 2.5”, but the takeda bows out to 3” at the filter mouth
