VHR +1 mm Oversize Valves! **Product Release**

Last year at PRI we approached Supertech and spoke to them about the possibility of having +1mm oversized valves developed for the VHR as no other company was offering this and we believed these items would benefit this platform tremendously. Fast forward to the end of March this year and we currently have the very first set of +1mm valves for the VHR platform!

A comparison between the stock intake valve and the Supertech valve, you can see a slight difference in overall diameter (increasing to 100.2 mm) and a slight recess in the bottom of the valve. The Supertech valves are one piece forged made out of EV8 (21-4N) stainless steel and will usually come with a black nitride coating. Since these were the prototype intake valves they did not come black nitride coated from Supertech due to a time constraint, but we will be getting them coated and orders from this point forward will come black nitride coated.

Comparing the stock exhaust valve and the Supertech valve, you can see a slight difference in overall diameter (increasing to 94.7 mm) and a larger recess in the bottom of the valve. The Supertech valves are a one piece forged made out of Inconel 751 to withstand the very high temperatures seen for turbo or supercharger applications.
While will be incorporating these valves into our NISMO engine build, we will not have them installed into the head in time for ZDayZ due to time constraints and a few other variables. We will however have the valves on display at ZDayZ and we will be taking orders as these valves can only be purchased from us at this time. If you are looking to maximize your engine output these are going to be a “must-have” as we all know how well they performed on the DE platform as far as making power more efficiently!

The engine is a large air pump, the more air that we can get into the engine, theoretically the more power that can be made. With the addition of the larger valves, primarily benefiting the forced induction vhrs, it allows for more volume of air to enter into the combustion chamber. Volumetric efficiency is the measurement of air that makes it into the combustion chamber while the intake valve is open expressed as a percentage of the theoretical potential volume of the cylinder. In other words, think of a 1 gallon jug of air, if you are able to get 1 gallon of air into the jug then you would be at 100 percent volumetric efficiency, anything more would be over 100 and anything less would be lower than 100. With this being said, the larger diameter of the valves will aid in increasing the VE of the engine as you have now removed 1 mm of the valve seat and also have increased the diameter by 1 mm. On the older VQ platform, we would notice a 3 to 4 psi difference in regards to power as a few cars would make 550 at 17 psi with stock valves and then vehicles that had larger valves would make 550 at 14 psi to give you an idea. Hopefully i have explained it enough and not gotten to technical

Anything for reliability, and no I have only spent $25K. Can't buy every product with that much budget.
