Best Cold Air Intake System

Hi everyone, I'm looking to upgrade my intake next. What's everyone's take on the best kits out there? I have a 2011 370Z

Stillen G3 is very popular

Read through some of the previous threads on this subject. There are several setups that have worked well for other members. Grab one of those when you see it on sale.

I'm wondering if it's the Stillen or z1 CAI with the High Flow upgrade. I haven't heard much feedback on that combination though.

As I stated on another thread, did you search any further at all regarding this issue???
There are numerous threads and posts on this issue.

You have 2 options;
#1. the Z1 Motorsports CAI or
#2. Stillen Cold Air Intake/long tubes.

The Stillen CAI set up requires some cutting for installation, the Z1 CAI does not. Both require the removal of the front bumper/nose cone.

I have the Z1 CAI and love them. See here: https://www.z1motorsports.com/air-in...it-p-8892.html

Also, use the 'search' function for additional opinions, info and instructions.

Will these cold air intake work if you decide to go FI though?

DeliriousClam 05-14-2017 07:29 PM

Wasn't AAM making a cold air intake at one point?

Ape Factory 05-14-2017 08:56 PM

Nismo too. My .02 cents, the Stillen is best if you're not planning on tuning as it's design tricks the stock MAF sensors to make more power by leaning out the A/F ratio. Otherwise, the others like Z1, AAM, Nismo are just as good if not better when a tune comes into play.

As Ape Factory said: If you don't plan on tuning then Z1, Stillen, or Nismo would be your best bet. If you do plan on tuning, then I'd say to go for one of the intake systems with larger diameter piping (AAM, Admin Tuning).

None currently...though this should be seen as a benefit, because it means you can avoid buying it if you plan to go FI soon, or sell it to recoup some cash if you go FI in the future.

The RJ-Manufacturing SC kit is supposed to...but it's still in early stages of development. Somehow RJ has sold us that this is beneficial, even though it just means another required supporting mod to buy.

The Nismo would be included in the "benefits from a tune" club as well and I believe it's 2.75" diameter piping like the AAM. It also comes with an insert which gets removed when you tune, just like the AAM but the filters are down in front of the wheels/behind the fogs so they don't get exposed to the elements.

I was pushing an a/f ratio in the high nines by redline before tuning.
