OBD codes for running lean
 

I'm running out of ideas. I had an ecuTek tune back in august for my HFC's, exhaust, and Stillen intakes and everything was cool (everything was fine before having the tune as well.)

Back in October, I installed test pipes but did no re-tune so codes for banks 1&2 running lean which I expected.

Now I've swapped out my test pipes for high flows again along with new o2 sensors and it's still throwing those codes which confuses the hell out of me.

What is/are the actual code(s)? There's more than one lean code so it would help determine what to check.

Simple things to check/try is:
1. Look for leaks in the intake and exhaust from the MAF sensors all the way to the
primary O2 sensors.
2. Clean the MAF sensors.

p0123 p0223

Those aren't codes for running lean. They're codes related to the throttle position sensors according to google. Are all the wiring connectors plugged in and seated correctly?

What raises further questions is that the AFR while cruising is right around 14.1

Those are post-cat codes. IIRC, post-cat O2 sensors are not used for engine management - they are to check operation of cats. Shouldn't cause any problems as long as the pre-cat sensors are working properly - unless you need to pass an emissions test.

I need to pass an emissions test. No idea what to do. Any way to trick it?

Said in the first post that my car was already tuned for the HFC,CAI, and exhaust set-up. Swapped to test pipes for a few months now back to the same high flows. Still getting the same codes.

Trust me that was the first thing I saw when I searched and doesn't really apply too much to my situation.

AFAIK, there is no way to trick the system.

If nobody comes up with an answer soon, I'd hit the FSM.

A re-tune with a bit richer mixture might fix the problem.

Keep in mind that after you get things fixed you will have to go through several drive cycles (details in FSM) before the emissions system will report being ready.

I didn't catch that part. My only guess is that the sensors have deteriorated due to no cats. Can you monitor the sensor output?

Extend the A/F secondary O2 probes with Exhaust O2 extenders which are available at most local speed shops. Unplug battery to reset codes and you should be done.

If that fails; take it to a speed shop and bend over

I put on brand new o2 sensors when I put the cats back on.

I'm going to try cleaning my MAF's and injectors
