Muffler delete kit?

Story: recently bought a 370z. Stock exhaust sound is too tame for me at the moment. Decided on getting a muffler delete till a good used exhaust is for sale on the forums. (Already decided). So I called a local muffler shop, and they quote me for 95$ for installation, but stated that I needed to bring a muffler delete kit because the 370z is different. I googled "muffler delete kit" with no real outcome. Does anyone know what the shop meant?

Synonyms for "Muffle Delete" are also "Short Tails exhaust" and "Axle Back exhaust".. Should help you search. Plenty of options out there, including some cheap ones on ebay. A competent exhaust shop can also fab it for you.

If they're charging you $95 to simply put on a muffler delete kit (aka AAM short-tails) then I'd say no, and just put it on myself. You can do that without a jack. If you really need more space back up on a few boards and you'll have plenty room to remove the stock muffler and put some short tails on

+1
Even here in Middle-of-Nowhere, South Arkansas (pop. ~18k), we have a shop (maybe more than one) that can bend tubing. Price depends on length and complexity but I've had manifold-to-tailpipe systems fabbed for under $200 (been a few years, so probably higher now).

This. Once you have a bolt-on kit, it's undoing some bolts. You'll need a 14mm for the exhaust flanges, and a 12mm for the hangers. No big deal.
