Default Exhaust fitment question, please help.

Where I live, there is a very small Z community, so used parts don't pop up too often. Someone local is selling a practically new Tanabe axle back from a 2014 Q50 with the vq and I can score it for less than half of retail. Checked Tanabe's website to confirm my suspicion; that the part number is not listed as being compatible with the Z. My question is, can anyone with exhaust fab experience speculate on how hard it might be to make fit? Or of its even worth my effort? Attached is a photo of the underside of the q50 for reference. Thanks in advance.

Not worth it IMO. Would take a whole lot of massaging and re-routing to fit. You'd end up spending a lot more than its worth, and if your after the brand name you'll basically have a totally original part by the time you're done.

If you want a good deal on an exhaust, stalk the For Sale section or contact one of the vendors. Next to used they have the best deals you'll find anywhere.

Thanks RanRich, that's what I was thinking myself. Keeping my eyes open for a good deal. New baby on the way so I'm trying to stretch my modification dollars. Found some great prices with the vendors, but the exchange rate for my Canadian dollar is terrible. Hopefully it turns around soon.

Hi Curtis. Keep your eyes open on the 'parts for sale' and the "Canada' sections of this forum. Seems you can find some good deals through our local members. Also have a look at Kijiji once in a while. I recall, shortly after ordering my FI CBE, that a gently used Stillen CBE appeared for sale on Kijiji. Keep in mind that you have a new 370Z, do you really want to put used mods/components on it? Good luck.

Good point, Nixin; don't really want to be cheaping out, just hoping to stretch my modification budget a little further. If I don't find anything before say, my 1st when it's out of storage, I'll probably just bite the bullet and order a new CBE
