Carb sticker for my stillen G3 intake
Anybody know what I can do to acquire a Carb sticker for my intake. I bought it used and so it did not have a sticker with it. I contacted stillen a week or so ago and still no response. Does anyone have a extra one i can buy off them? or are they specific to each G3 intake sold? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I believe your best bet is still contacting Stillen. You'll have to wait for them to get back to you - If you haven't yet you may need to send additional pictures of the exhaust installed on your vehicle and a picture of your VIN. Have you reached out to them on additional outlets since your last contact with them? (Facebook, Here on the forum, e-mail, etc.)

Edited... I didn't think you needed a CARB ID for just the G3 intakes since they're in front of the MAF
Did a little more looking and looks like you do need the CARB ID#. You could probably just look up the number and make an official looking sticker on an inkjet with the proper information on it. |

Printing this out and showing it to tech when asked worked last smog check.

Carb sticker? Is this just for California?

I had the same question about the Z1 CAI a while back and it appears that the manufacturer does not include CARB stickers in the package.

Does anyone know if/where the product number is located on the gen3 intakes? At the shop getting smog tested and having trouble proving to the tech the intakes are carb exempt because we can’t locate where Stillen stamps the product number without removing the front bumper.

I just remembered that I still have my sticker from when I sold my Gen 3's. If anyone wants it, PM me your contact info and I'll mail it to you.

Sorry for the thread necro, but this might be helpful to others who go searching for help/info.
This last week I emailed Stillen and basically said 'These stickers look super suspicious, and it would be great if there was a more official looking one I could replace it with, so I don't get sent to state ref'. I got a response back confirming there is no imprint on the product, but there is an updated sticker it can be replaced with that looks more professional. They don't charge for the sticker, but happily charged me $15 to ship a sticker via usps weighing nothing within the same state ($15, wtf?). I said whatever, and paid it. It just got here and looks like this. https://i.imgur.com/7KvQEZX.jpg The process was to send an inquiry, then when requested send a picture of the full engine bay and VIN plate, then provide the shipping location. Then I got sent a link with everything pre-populated. I don't recall whether I provided my VIN when I originally purchased the intakes, and I don't know if they confirm whether I was the original purchaser through them some other way (I was). It's worth a shot if you're having trouble with smog shops or LEOs are giving you trouble for the paper sticker. Only reason I asked Stillen is this year was my second time having to smog, and I'm pretty sure one of the guys would have denied me on visual if the guy who did it last time wasn't there 'cause he said it had to look like the one on the wall which was shiny and official looking. |
^^Thats great. I also got no sticker on mine. I just printed out the document and I was going to show it to my Smog shop. But thanks for this. Ill shoot them an email.
