I am way glad to hear that. Thanks so much for your time on this and for the review! It has really put life back into seeing this exhaust again

Hey I'm glad you guys like our exhaust. The looooong R&D process is how we end up with such a great sounding exhaust, especially when you consider that there are our Berk HFC's installed in these vids as well.

About the dyno's performed. The whole exhaust works in concert with each other and there is only so much power you can extract out of the exhaust system before you approach 100% efficiency. So lets arbitrarily say that the 370Z's complete exhaust (header/HFC/exhaust) has a potential of 30hp. If you bolt on a set of our Berk HFC's most of you are dynoing in the 15-17hp range (and some of you 19hp ). So you've opened up the bottleneck at the OEM cats and you have a much more free flowing exhaust. So then you install our exhaust and net 14hp.

If you did the test in reverse you would see 20hp+ from the Berk exhaust then 10hp from the cats.

The dyno tests on our exhaust have shown to make 14hp ON TOP OF our HFC's. What we have here is a real performer that isn't diluted down when you make improvements upstream of the catback exhaust system.

All of our exhausts include the resonated midpipes at no additional charge. Our exhaust is priced at an MSRP of $1199.99 and like new cars dealers set actual pricing on the exhaust.

How loud is the exhaust without the HFCs? I am looking to replace mine but not the cats. Minicobra's video sounded great, but I know he has the HFCs also. I want something that is fine as a daily driver, and when cruising doesn't drone, and is also reasonably quiet............. but, when you get on it, it comes to life. Thanks.

Even with the Berk HFC's installed on Minicobra's car our exhaust system already meets your criteria.

In cabin noise and drone at highway cruising speeds was a high priority engineering consideration. We took the car for a cruise and I can say that in 6th at 70 or 80mph it is 100% wife/girlfriend/client/mother in law approved!

I'll let Minicobra chime in since he has been able to put a few more miles on it since the install.

Thanks, and to add one last important one (to me) on that approved list, "aftermarket stereo approved (I love my sounds) "

So, based on previous HP gain discussions, I could expect to gain as much as 20HP also, since this will be the first piece to open up the system?

John

I have watched the video ten times now and it gets better each time. Smells like sex!

Good to know I have an easy fitment of the Berk CBE with their HFC when the time comes for a change. Only bad part about it is I will be wearing Berk under wear (HFC) with Niismo trousers (CBE) until I can get the financial $$ flowing again.

I will have to settle on being rated as a 6 with the Nismo CBE and Berk HFC combo for the time being....dreaming of some day being rated as an 8...where's Bo Derek when I need her.....lol

Know anyone that wants to buy 2 Nismo CBE's? They are g/f, wifey, grandma approved....they sound better than stock because they are stock sounding.....lol

I pretty much drive mine daily, I think you would have no problem with this, even with the HFC's. You can always start with the CBE first, then add the HFC's if you feel you want some more power and a little more volume.

Most of the deep tone is between 3500 and 5000 rpm if your on it, then it smooths out a bit over 5000.

Cruising on street at 45mph - 4th gear = no drone, talk on your blue tooth, listen to stereo etc.
Cruising on Freeway, steady 70-80mph=same thing :-) it's pretty amazing!

Now that I've been driving with the Berk exhaust for a few days, I've really learned how to get the sound out of it, or not get it out. It's pretty easy to make it sound mellow if you shift at the right points, and also easy if you want to roll by a Mustang or a new Camero and make them wonder what the hell you have in that thing. :-) Also, there is no question that this has freed up some power, it is noticeable over my previous Nismo setup. The throttle response is better and the power comes on much sooner. I'm really enjoying the car again. I especially like it when driving through a tunnel or freeway underpass, just roll on the throttle lightly and it's music to the ears. Awesome!!

All of these have the resonated midpipes and we do not charge extra for the resonated midpipes.
