FI Non res TPs + aam short tails?
 

Possibly will be picking up some FI non res tps today for 200$ but I'm curious how it'll sound with aam short tails and if FI tps give decent gains for its price?

Bump thoughts?

I'm not sure about the FI non-res tps but I've heard a few local Zs with short tails and tps - they were insanely loud.

^^^This...I had ART pipes and short tails. The sound is awesome, just like a race car, the sound level is also like a race car. If you want attention you will definitely get it...both good and bad!

Yup - I wouldn't say it sounded bad, just very aggressive. You heard the car coming from like 4 blocks away. :eek:

Any noticeable gains?

I'd imagine you'd get some decent gains as the cats are usually the biggest bottleneck with the exhaust.

You only get real gains from the test pipes. The short tails you get a gain decibels!!! :eek:

I know someone who had short tails paired with art pipes. It was extremely loud. I can't imagine how much louder non-resonated test pipes would be with short tails. :yum:

Yeah I had Berk nonresonated test pipes, AAM mid pipes, and AAM nonresonated short tails. Idle was 89db a few inches from the exhaust on a phone app, certian rpms were extreamly loud because of the resonance, but in general had to wear ear protection which made the money I spent for a sound system rather a waste so it came off after a short while and the old axel back went back on. It did sound like a race car at WOT but around town or a highway drive was annoying. I have a video somewhere with test pipes and stock exhaust and and after with mid pipes and short tails.

Thanks guys. Just bought them for 225$ brand new. Will be adding them soon. Next step: Manifold
