Default $300 Ebay Exhaust

Haters gonna hate, but bought a full cat back exhaust for just over $300 (I paid under that because they refunded me $50 due to several gaskets being ruined).

It looked nice in the packaging and looks good on the car. No fitment issues.

Sounds great too! Just a hair too loud for me. I don't like loud exhausts though so I'm not a good judge. idles a little louder than I would like, but can only hear it from the outside. When you step on the gas sounds great though. No noticeable droning yet either when driving.

I just don't get why people pay thousands for a few metal cans when you can get something that looks and sounds great for a fraction of the price.

I bought the FI because it had great reviews, sounds great, looks great, and performs great. But, the money wasn't a big deal to me and the only time I've second guessed it was when I heard a Motordyne...

Anyway, if you enjoy the exhaust then that's all that matters.

Congrats but please re-align the right pipe. It appears to be almost touching the rear-fascia. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to stuff like that and it would drive me absolutely nuts. But, yeah it does look good. Hope it holds up.

What are those rear spats on your bumper? They don't look oem or the sun line style. You have a different angle?

Thanks! Figment look good. Definitely a different style than oem. Reminds me of ones on G37 sport.

The same reason why people buy coffee at starbucks instead of making it at home for the fraction of the price.

Looks good. Please come back in a few months to follow up on a review of your exhaust. I bought the ARK exhaust due to the gains and the nice sound it makes.
Congrats and enjoy!

It depends what kind of conditions his car goes through. If he doesn't winter drive his Z, I'm willing to bet it'll hold up for years to come. Brand name exhausts differ in that they use a high quality steel for their products. If OPs is regulated to summer use, even in rain, I don't see much going wrong. MAYBE rust, eventually, but I'm sure he could get his $300 money's worth out of it. Then replace it with a new one again and still only be a fraction of money out that he would with a more expensive exhaust.

On a lot of these ebay exhausts, the mufflers will blow out and they'll end up sounding bad.

Resonators will be lower quality, welds are generally more prone to failing, the steel is generally lower quality, the fitment is hit or miss, the R&D was stolen and copied, and we don't want to wear a bootleg adidas jumpsuit, I want 3, and only three stripes.
