PPE LTH + MOTORDYNE E370 CBE + UpRev

Hi guys
Im looking to install the parts listed below on my 2010 370Z fully stock.
---------
PPE LTH
MOTORDYNE SHOCKWAVE E370 CBE
Silicone air intake hose (Stock CAI)
With UpRev tuning.

My Q:

PPE LTH will delete Stock cat so do i need to add HFC or Tp?

The Check Engine Light will flashed on? And is there a solution to avoid the subject?

About How many Hp excepted to be obtain through these parts?

Agent K 12-02-2016 11:10 PM

You can't have PPE LTH and [HFC or TPs] at the same time. All cats are deleted once LTH are installed. You would have to order short tube headers if you want [HFC or TPs].

You shouldn't get a SES/check engine light with a tune. But you will get one without a tune.

IIRC, the manufacturer of PPE headers dynoed gains at 50 hp (not rear wheel hp).

I've never thrown a code with that setup, even before a tune.
you don't need HFC or TP it will just bolt up to the e370 and you're all good.

Excellent choice of exhaust btw

Thanks
I heard the only PPE LTH with stock exhaust + tune gain 35 whp
What about the PPE LTH with F.I did you dyno it ? And what about the loud ?

SS_Firehawk 12-03-2016 04:18 AM

It will be loud, it will take a higher pitch. With a fast intentions exhaust, I'd recommend resonators. They make good power. I had them on my last Z. I'm trying the Z1 headers this time around. There are options if you want cats. Motordyne has a y pipe with a hfc's option. Their e370 exhaust has a cat option if you contact them. Fast Intentions also has the option for 100 cell cats as well.

Motordyne does have their own headers and they look good. Dyno show they make similar power. I was saying Motordyne has the option to add cats into their CBE. The PPE headers can get pricey, but you have the option for that merged collector that flows better than a standard collector with a cone, which I believe the type motordyne uses. It may be a cost of a few hp at most with normal Bolt on street tunes cars.

Z1, Motordyne, PPE, and Fast Intentions are the only worthwhile headers if you're gonna spend your hard earned cash, that my opinion.

If you don't need cats, don't get em. You'll make more power

I haven't gotten a tune yet with my set-up so no dyno numbers.

I had a set-up without resonators and couldn't take the noise or drone...too loud for me. So, I got resonators welded back on.

Also, after 6000 miles, I got a SES light because of no cats.

You need a tune bad. Most folks run into a lean condition if not tuned with long tube headers.

Yes that what I'm thinking about it, more gain, no over load, inexpensive
And my next step will be W/Methanol injection sysrem that i expect add 20+ whp.
I dond know if Motordyne company they have shipping method to UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

Because i want to order my parts from CZP website.

Yes my opinion you will not be safe and get the maximum Smoothness and gain without tune.
However with porsche ECU, No need to tun, just replace the parts and double press on pedal.
