The SAS is on the rack itself? We've done a few Gs and a murano just the other day (racks) and they weren't set up this way. Don't work on too many Zs, but I don't recall that being the setup and is kind of something I haven't seen yet on any make. Normally the SAS is on the column somewhere. Anyhow, thank for the heads up on that. The SAS is something that we end up recalibrating quite a bit on various makes (sometimes our screwup and sometimes from other shops), but what I really stress to my guys is the Clock Spring. I always make sure they lock the steering wheel with the seat belt, as if that wheel moves too much (e.g. a complete turn)then you can stress that guy and give yourself fits with Supplemental Restraint System issues. Again, thank you for the tip on the rack and i'll be sure to take a closer look at it. Also, if I can get that job done in under 5 hours, i'll be ecstatic. I was thinking anywhere from 4-6 hours just off cursory glances. Good thing is I garage this guy and don't drive her in the rain. Absolutely hate how much Nissans rust. Especially the exhaust. |

If you got fat hands. They might look like they got in a fight with a pissed off putty cat. There is lots of screw and bolt ends sticking out on the left side.

As far as any modification, I didn't do the install myself, but my mechanic didn't mention any modifications he has done, only thing was the pre cat sensor which was welded to oem manifold. So, I had to buy new sensors. Also, you will need either a 20 guage wires to extend the pre cat sensor wires or an extension link, as motordyne will not provide them.

Just went and checked on FI's site and it looks like the mod is for 12+ models as something changed with the coolant crossover pipe that doesn't allow the driver's side header to bolt up.

Motordyne told me that I can find extension at radio shack. Being at the other side of earth, didn't have that option so went ahead and bought wires to extend. Unlike Md, fast intention offers a hardware kit to solve this issue, so you will run into the same issue with either headers, because they re-located the sensor position, maybe for better af reading, as my car didn't through any check engine signs after installation.

Nah. Came from a company that built and repaired rotating equipment. Steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, pumps. Got hired at the power plant when construction first started. So was there from construction, commissioning, start-up, and going commercial. I know where all the dead bodies are buried at. Know all the short cuts that was taken to get the plant up and running. I was number 1 on the seniority list. I retired as senior control room operator at the age of 60. I've had my share of coal plants. Repairing equipment in them. Coal dust everywhere. Been in nuke plants too. Don't like glowing in the dark. I see you're not too far away from our sister plant in Beverly Ohio. You at the AEP plant?
