This technically isn't a CAI. I agree with everyone that it looks good though!

No it is not a CAI its a short ram air! I said it is louder than my friends Stillen CAI, not that it is a CAI. My friends are in love with it, but one of them is a HKS freak, he is in love with that company. The pictures were taken with my i-phone so they are not that good. They are heavy duty what ever they are made of and there is no clear coat on them so polishing them is a sinch. I thought the metal cage around the filter would bend easy but I was worng! The metal cage is heavy duty too, I would literaly have to stand on them and jump up and down to bend them. Super high end Q if you ask me. My Injen ram air for the RSX-S was a kiddie toy compared to the Q of the HKS. Worth the cash in my opp.

You are correct..Add 149.00 to that and you got the price (they did give free shipping and got from Cali to Tx in 2 days). Im sure they will get cheaper. I love HKS and a little extra cash to get what I want is not a big deal to me. I bought it as an Thanksgiving gift to myself My wife says that buying a gift for myself for t-day was very un-thanks-giving like My car is very thankfull for HKS.

Not trying to start ****, these do look cool as hell.. But is it just me or does it look like these sit almost behind the radiator, sucking in hot air?

That's how it looks to me as well. They don't even appear to have heat shields like the JWT Popchargers at least have.

If it's what you want, that's fine. I know a lot of people on in the import scene rave about HKS and would choose it over other products that make more power... that's fine.

But like I said before, I think it's going to be like every short-ram available already. I think we've had enough testing here to prove that the only way to gain power by replacing the stock intake tubes is to go with a CAI... and even then the only real gains are top end where the factory intake drops off.

The factory unit is very efficient and does a good job of sourcing air from outside of the engine bay. It's only downside is that it doesn't make any cool noise.

They may say HKS but that is mos def FTL in ricish. But then again ricers rate a part on looks before power (don't get me wrong that IS the most visually appealing kit out which it just isn't my game).

ALL good businesses charge exactly the highest amount they can without losing more sales than they displace with the extra profits. If they could charge more they would in a second. All their, R&D, and legal work, and most importantly advertising, is eventually passed on to the end consumer so companies that advertise more like HKS always charge more. Look at ALDI's they don't run sales, they don't advertise, hell they don't even have shelves, but everthing at an aldi's is dirt cheap even though it is regular quality brand new food just like at your local grocery store. If HKS didn't have fan-boys they would be hard pressed selling half what they do.
