On my 2011 I had a CNT Racing cat-back... LOVED the sound it made and is one of the least costly options for our cars. I now have the Invidia Gemini and I prefer the CNT.

Axle-back parts have pretty similar sound characteristics between each other since you're changing a small section of piping that essentially just controls volume. As for a full cat-back, low-end changes will hardly be noticeable if at all unless you get something >2.5" piping (don't). You can also disconnect your battery during install to reset the ECU and help it learn the change quicker.
Only thing I disagree with there is that the Motordyne drone is almost nonexistent in my opinion. Meanwhile, the AAM short tails do have a moderate amount of drone from my experience.

The fact of the matter is most exhausts on the Z drone to some degree. Not a whole lot of sound deadening in these from the factory. Unless you mod the cats you'll probably not notice much change cruising at 60-70mph in 6th though.

So if we're talking "highway drone" with the Motordyne then no it isn't too noticeable, but around town cruising in anything lower than 6th gear between 2-3K you'll feel the throttle in your ears - HOWEVER, its totally worth it and not a nuisance because the sound is so, so sweet
