Default Stillen Gen 3 help/question

Hey guys so ive tried to search and cant seem to find the answer but the issue im having is i bought a used set of intakes and i was inspecting them and i looked into the 3" tube where the filter goes on and the 3" to 2.5" tube part has a lip on it that looks to me like it would cause some serious air restriction and or turbulence.. Are all of them like this? Is this how it is or did i get a poor quality one? Ill get pictures up when im home but if anyone has some laying around so i can see what inside the tube looks like on another one that would be very helpful.
Thanks for any help in advance guys.

Mine looked like that too. I bet they all do. I thought about grinding it down, but just installed it as is and had no problems

They are all like that. My first thoughts about that intake system was expensive but of cheap quality. The gains are there with that design.

Thanks Mandingo and 1st for your reply's... Thats crazy to me that one of the highest hp producing and most popular intakes for our cars is built with, in my opinion, a major flaw. Well its not going to stop me from putting them on now but damn Stillen WTF?
