QTP electric cutouts
Wanted to see what you exhaust guys thought about running the QTP electric cutouts. I've seen them used on a built s2000. The guy wanted to retain the stock exhaust for the sleeper look so he welded on a pair. I want to do the same thing when I go FI. I think it's a cheaper alternative to a full 3in turboback exhaust and gives you a lot more versatility.

Tons of Camaro guys run QTP electric cutouts. Heck, even I had one on my camaro too But in my honest opinion, if you go FI and spend thousands of dollars, why settle for a restrictive stock exhaust (i know with the cutout you'll make it more free flow, but still)? YOu can get a nice menderal bend piping quality exhaust to match with your awesome FI system. I know you mentioned "cheaper alternative" but after spending $10,000 Plus on your car for FI, would a $1000 dollar exhaust hold you back? Just my

other than the asthetic look of going for a whole new exhaust system I'd make an educated guess that performance gains between cutouts and a full exhaust would be minimal if any.

Sounds interesting. I wonder what the power gains would be compared to a good exhuast system, as well as how this would sound. Checked out the website and I like how you can control it to run partially open if you wanted as well. Interesting idea.

The partial opening idea is worth thinking about and if an option with the QTP that would seal the deal. I spent a lot of time tailoring my NPP exhaust (the one with the on or off flapps) on my Corvette to achieve the best sound either closed or partially opened. |

man 57, I think Ive had like maybe 15 or so. I go about 3 yrs on the average before I get a new one. I want to go back and buy my TT I traded in as I think they are selling it for less than they gave me. Just need like $24K to do that. Id make the TT my daily and then TT the Z for weekend power. Wishful thinking.
