Is the one your looking at in good shape? Assuming its a V2 system? I think you would be able to find a buyer maybe not right away but within a reasonable amount of time. If your really concerned about that I would just order a new one from F.I.

I couldn't remember what it costs but yea at that point your better off going new forsure. I wouldn't let any old muffler shop hack it up like that.

Unfortunately it's going to be a heck of a lot harder to find a used FI (or other CBE) that will fit my nismo the right way. Spending the cash on a clear bra before it gets too chipped up since it's almost my summer dd.

I don't like it myself and will change it. It is about 2.5 to 3 inches tucked in. I already have a shop in mind but have very little time right now to get it done.
ANY reputable shop can modify any exhaust even FI's. Just look at their work and check their materials and welds. You will have to pay more for good quality work and materials. Find a shop who can mod it or give you options. There is no need for you to spend that much.
