Default Fast Intentions Exhaust Info thread: Very Informative

I wanted to take the time to re post this thread so new comers can find the information easier. The other thread has far surpassed any of our expectations with thousands of replies. Thank you all for that. What I will do here is post all of the reviews in one place within this thread so hopefully potential buyers can find what they are looking for a tad bit easier.

This exhaust is different then it's earlier counterpart the Intimidator. If you know us from either My350z.com, G35Driver.com or Myg37.com then you know that we always strive to do our best to give you (the community) the highest in customer service and products second to none!

This exhaust system is soley designed for the 370Z. Now since this is the case, it is fitting that is comes with a new name. It will be known as the:

Fast Intentions TDX

The sale thread itself with (pricing info) will be located in the vendor classified section.

This exhaust is designed to push the limits of torque and power while at the same time retaining the stock Z note, only enhancing it by making it deeper and smoother.

As you all may or may not know, we build everything to order and on a first come first basis.

In addition to this our test pipes, resonated test pipes and high flow cats will be at rock bottom sale prices available by themselves or as a package deal with the cat back.

I am confident this is the start of a great thing. We have had the support from this community from day one and we are eternally greateful.

Here it is, our video of the prototype...

So here is what we came up with at the dyno:

Baseline (Stock)
Run 1- 281.94 RWH / 241.25 RWT
Run 2- 276.51 RWH / 241.52 RWT
Run 3- 284.12 RWH / 240.89 RWT
Baseline Average: 280.86 RWH / 241.22 RWT

F.I. TDX Cat Back 12" Resonators / Stock Cats

Run 1- 300.81 RWH / 251.08 RWT
Run 2- 301.62 RWH / 252.11 RWT
Run 3- 301.30 RWH / 253.89 RWT
F.I. TDX C.B. 12" Res. Average: 301.24 RWH / 252.36 RWT

F.I. TDX Cat Back 12" Resonators / F.I. Resonated Test Pipes

Run 1- 308.99 RWH / 259.05 RWT
Run 2- 310.24 RWH / 258.32 RWT
Run 3- 305.37 RWH / 258.70 RWT
F.I. TDX Cat Back 12" Res. / F.I. R.T.P. Average: 308.20 RWH / 258.69 RWT

F.I TDX Cat Back 12" Resonators / F.I. HFC's

Run 1- 304.35 RWH / 258.33 RWT
Run 2- 304.19 RWH / 258.25 RWT
Run 3- 305.79 RWH / 258.50 RWT
F.I. TDX Cat Back 12" Res. / F.I. HFC's Average: 304.78 RWH / 258.36 RWT

During the dyno runs of the HFC's & R.T.P's I started the think as to why it wasn't making more power. Then I reviewed the numbers and realized that they were pretty standard as far as gains go. Remember that this car has stock air boxes and stock air filters. The car is only taking in so much air so it can only let out so much exhaust. Now, I am confident that the HFC's and R.T.P.'s will play much more of a part when a good cold air intake setup is on the car.

The cat back itself, blew away our expectations! We are extremely pleased with the results.
Bottom line, our cat back gave a bone stock 370Z 6MT an average of 20 RWH more and 11 FT LBS. of torque over stock.

O.K. so I have been getting alot of requests about our payment plan option. We have offered this in previous markets and it has worked. Here are the details:

Layaway & payment plans

Here is how it works,

-All we require is 25% down (Non Refundable)
-From the day the exhaust is purchased you have 90 days(3 months) to pay it off.
-We encourage you to split the remaining balance evenly over the 3 months but it is not a requirement.
-If down the line you decide you cannot afford or do not want the exhaust system, you WILL NOT be held liable on the remaining balance. However you WILL NOT receive a refund on any previous payment.
-All payments are NON REFUNDABLE!
-You cannot downgrade once your original order is placed, only upgrade.
-There is no interest on your balance!
-Your exhaust will not ship until the balance is paid in full!
-There is no pre payment penalty!

We like to think of this as our way to make purchasing for our customers a little easier during these economic times.

Keep in mind, this is designed for the consumer that can and needs time to save up the funds in order to get this exhaust. This is not for everyone!

Those of you who have already purchased an exhaust system through us are aware that we do not bill your card until right before we ship your product! Example: if you purchased under the normal way today, your wait would be 4 to 5 weeks. So with that being said, you would not be billed until then.

If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I will keep you all updated as much as possible...

Thank you, Tony

so what benifits does the LTH have over the short tube headers and the resonated test pipes? And Im assuming the LTH and CBE will make for a very loud exhaust with lots of drone? But more power?

Here is another review as of today that I wanted to add to this thread:

Quote:
Originally Posted by Knives View Post

Firstly, Tony's customer service is amazing. Very informative, helpful and no sales pressure whatsoever. I went with the 18" resonators, and the exhaust was shipped exactly in the timeframe Tony quoted. Packaging was immaculate, you can tell Tony and his team took the proper precautions.

Sound: (10/10) As others have said, there is a bit of drone around 2-3k cruising range, but it is to be expected and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Someone else said this, but the Youtube videos do not do this exhaust justice. Upon acceleration the sound of this exhaust is out of this world, bar none the sexiest exhaust note of any car I've ever driven. I drove around for a solid hour just accelerating to keep hearing that deep/exotic tone the exhaust has, smiling the entire time. Another important aspect is the fact that it is not so loud that it hinders conversation with someone sitting in the passenger seat (I've had an exhaust on a prior car where you had to raise your voice to communicate). I foresee no problem tiring of this amazing exhaust note on my daily commute and certainly not under aggressive driving.

Performance: (10/10) Now, I couldn't dyno the car after the install, but you can certainly feel that the car is less restricted now. Throughout the entire rpm band the car feels more responsive and at round 4-5k, the car comes to life. Honestly, just comparing my car pre-T.I. catback to now, you really get a sense of how restrictive the stock exhaust really was. This car feels like it should now.

Looks/Fitment/Practicality: (10/10) The exhaust uses high quality steel and the welds are a thing of beauty, almost a shame they're hidden once installed. Installation was a breeze, no fitment issues and no adjustments needed to be made. As far as looks, the exhaust passes with flying colors, the tips are not too big (no hint of "rice" there) and they do not stick out far past the bumper (reference Stillen's exhaust). I also love the fact that the exhaust tips are angled in (like the stock tips), making it more flush with the bumper. I live in an area with a ton of bumps and dips, and I foresee no problem in scraping this exhaust at all, even if/when I end up lowering the car.

From customer service to the exhaust itself, I honestly could not be happier. I would have no problem recommending Tony's exhausts to anyone looking for a top quality product.

We have a handful out there one lowered cars. I also have installed a few as well. It is really going to depend on your driving habits. I have had a few scrape one was lowered one was not. They both addmited to me thats they were not paying attention toi their surroundings. One caught an apex on a driveway and another hit a dip in the street at about 50 MPH. For the most part though, everyone seems good to go. FYI: the lowest part of our exhaust is only 3/8" lower than the stock exhaust system.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask...

Thank you, Tony
