Pros and Cons of Berk resonated test pipes
Hi, I'm brand new at this forum but I am looking to put on test pipes for my car because I live in FL with no inspections and would like to get a hp/torque increase and some sound. I am currently liking the Berk technology resonated cat delete but I would like to know all of the pros and cons of taking off my stock cats and what to watch out for. I also would like to know if I just need to buy the test pipes and all needed parts are included or do I have to buy something else as well if a shop puts it on for me. Thank you =D
Edit: I forgot to say I also want to get a tune done obviously when I get my pipes in, I have no experience with that and I don't know where to start. Also I talked to a shop today and they said about $100-$125 for install, reasonable price? Last edited by Joey370Z; 03-24-2016 at 02:23 PM. |

More than likely if you buy new test pipes they will come with gaskets and bolts needed for install, also i recommend a shop to do it, it is hell to remove the famous demon bolts on the cats specially if you arent a diy guy ,i have resonated test pipes with stock exhaust and yes it will throw a cel. Fumes aint bad at all , also rasp is present under 3krpm with stock exhaust .

Never threw check engine lights with my fast intentions resonated test pipes. I've help a friend do the install on his and it was such a pain in the ***, 5 hours with a blow torch and saws all, that I paid someone to put mine on. Our cars make an odd hiss sound during deceleration from 3000-2000 rpm. It's not bad and it's unavoidable if you change out the stock cars. The power increase is wonderful. With the resonated test pipes drone won't be too bad. Now with non resonated it gets annoying.
