Just a quick question about my Test pipe install

Default Just a quick question about my Test pipe install

I had Z1 install their own "Z1 branded" test pipes about 2 weeks ago. I REALLLLLY love the sound and all, and their customer service is AMAZING... Just love living 5 mins from their store ... My question is this, after about 10 miles of driving my SES light popped on, which of course i understand why obviously because i have no more cats, but am i losing power anywhere due to the SES light on? Does the pcm do any kind of "limp mode" or anything???? Cant afford the 600$ right now for a dyno tune, so am i ok driving it around until about next month when i get around to having it custom tuned? Thanks

Nope, if it were in limp mode you would know it in an instant.

so there is such thing as "limp mode" with these cars, what for example will put the PCM in that mode? I have NEVER in my life owned a import type car, ive always been a camaro / chevy lover, so this car is a first for me

If you have a serious issue, the ecu will not let you rev over 3k rpm. Most modern obd2 cars have something like this regardless of where they're made.
