I sprayed two cans on liquid wrench on them, let it sit for a couple days, then attacked them with a breaker bar. Actually went pretty easily

Bring it to a shop and can it a do it. Let them deal with the headaches of the install chances are you'll encounter... just watch and make sure they give you YOUR stock cats back, I live in NJ and brought it to the hood they did a great job but had to cut out a bolt, good install but they wanted to keep my cats so they gave me different cats that were not mine, I went and spoke to the owner they had a "mix up"

I paid a kid on Craigslist $100 to do mine.

Whether you do the work yourself, or take it to a shop, just remember to remove the O2 sensors BEFORE tackling any of the bolts, especially with an impact wrench. Otherwise, most likely, the sensors will get damaged.

Had mine done at a shop took them an hour and was on my way

Back in the day when there was resistor type 02 sensors, they would get damaged from impact wrench's. This day and age they're a heater type 02's. They still have a resistor, but completely different style. I own a exhaust/mech shop, we never remove the 02's, ever. Inless there a resistor type o2. |

Really? I've heard a lot of people here report failed O2 sensors after shops use an impact on them. If it's a myth I've wasted a lot of time doing things the hard way. :rofl2: |

we brought in my shop truck , took out a 02, smashed it with a hammer a bunch of times, put it back in, worked perfect lol, 2 years later. still working fine. I see a lot of shops when installing 02s they don't back whined the wiring, they install it and twist up the wiring, the pin usually pulls out of the 02, and then its fd. |

Hahaha, yah tons of luck, we've only done about 7,000 invoices on repaired and replaced exhaust system in 1 year. Not one bad 02? Sound like luck? No, its not.
do you own an exhaust shop? Do you install/fix 20 +exhausts daily? Not trying to be rude or anything, just being realistic. Ive got a question for you, Did both your 02's go bad when you used your impact? |
Im going to order a brand new 02, ill make a video.
Ill take it out of the box, Will test the resistance before, Ill smash it with a hammer 20+ times, then will test it again. |
