Default AEM intakes fit 09-11 why not 12+?

I am selling my AEM intakes (and my car) and have come to find that they are only listed for the 2009-2011 model years. I am trying to figure out why they wouldnt work for the 2012+ models.

Aside from the updated front end the only difference I know of is the oil cooler on the 12+
Does that really get in the way? Any one have any idea? Anyone have a 12+ in Indianapolis want to let me look at their car?

It's most likely because they never updated their website or bothered to test it on newer models. There is no reason for it not to work on newer models.

Ok, well I just called AEM and got some good info.

They did test the intakes on the 2012+ models. They worked for a couple days then started throwing codes and running incorrectly. The intakes do fit but will not work with the correction boxes. Tuning with just MAF extensions would work though. He said that the 2012+ models have different tuning than the previous models and it just doesn't work properly with their intakes!

Answered my own question but hopefully this will help some others.
