2015 Nismo Exhaust with Berks HFC?
hey
i have the opportunity to purchase a Nismo exhaust off a 2015 car. I've heard it in the flesh and its a little bit quiet but i also have berks hfc so i was wondering if anyone is running this combination and what their thoughts are? I believe the 2015 Nismo exhaust is better and louder than the pre 2015. the 2015 is also made by HKS (plate on the bottom of the back box) thanks in advance |
Take it no one has this setup?

Most importantly I think you need to first confirm if the 2015 Nismo exhaust is "better" and / or louder. I can't imagine it is much different than every other Nismo exhaust out there just because someone else makes it, unless it is designed differently. Nissan would still have strict requirements for any manufacturer to produce the Nismo exhaust.

Having any stock muffler will be quiet, I had berk test pipes with the stock Nismo exhaust and it was only moderately loud on cold starts. If your going for volume stock anything won't help you.
I have a before video with the stock and test pipes. http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...ml#post3365453 |

I had the 2013 nismo exhaust with Berk HFC's and sound was maybe a little louder than stock but definitely mild. I have added to the mix Top Speed axle backs and now we are making some noise. |
The 2016 Nismo I drove seemed to be louder than the other nismos. But could also be because the new Nismo has exhaust sound playing in the speakers too. Really disappointed in that!

Getting rid of the stock x-pipe for another with larger diameter should bring out more volume. I believe garage-line offers an x-pipe in 2.5" for the nismo.

I'm afraid so! It's called Active Sound Enhancement Press release: Nissan today announced these additions to the 2016 370Z Coupe, NISMO and Roadster: Enhancements for the 2016 model year include the addition of a new Deep Blue Pearl exterior color and a new available Bose® audio system incorporating Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Active Sound Enhancement (ASE). The ANC system generates canceling sound to remove undesirable low frequency engine noise, while preserving invigorating sounds of engine performance, providing a more “pure” sound. The ASE enhances natural engine sounds to help bolster the driver’s acceleration experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
BeemaZ has this setup but I'm not 100% sure but pretty sure it is the 2015 Nismo exhaust too but I know he runs the berk HFCs with Nismo exhaust.
It gives it a little more sound but not much. At that point its more of a mod for 10whp and done. I would look into an exhaust that gives you some good sound and then do the HFCs with that. If you want a deeper sound go ARK or Fast Intentions If you want a higher pitch sound like a G37 type of sound, go Meisterschaft Those 3 brands of exhaust give about 25whp a piece for the CBE. If you add in HFC's you're looking at adding about 35whp |
Love the sound of the fast intentions exhaust but it's just too expensive at £1200 :( may have to get it second hand if one ever comes up here in the UK!

I can understand, I paid a hefty chunk for mine too. I would suggest the Carbon Fiber exhaust if you can get your hands on one, the sound is a lot better in my opinion. Gives off more of an exotic EURO exhaust tone rather than just a deeper growl. They exotic tone isn't like the G35 or G37 tone either. Its still a deep growl still but has more of an accented growl and pop.
