ARK Grip- Thoughts?

So slowly working through some basic simple mods I want to make to my 2015 base Z, and an exhaust is at the top of the list. After much research I was settled on the Fast Intentions w/18" resonators, but have the opportunity to get the ARK Grip new for about $500 off which makes it $100 less than the FI and without the wait.

They seem to be similar in tone, and from what I have read the quality of both are excellent.

Any thoughts, as I am seriously considering pulling the trigger on the ARK?

I was in the same boat as you. I settled on either the Grip or the F.I. I couldn't see myself waiting 3 months for a new F.I. but luckily a used one popped up in the classifieds so I scooped that up. A few locals have the Grip. They are both similar in tone and looks so I don't think you can go wrong with either. If you are getting that good of a deal on the Grip, I'd say go for it.

Thanks for the quick and thoughtful reply -- this is kind of what I figured from everything I had read on the two. But it's nice to get direct feedback from those with hands-on experience. Will likely pull the trigger today on the ARK...

You will enjoy it either way you go. Car becomes much more enjoyable once you open up the exhaust.

Yeah go with the ARK, It's gonna be almost three months since I ordered my F.I and here I am... still waiting for it to be fabricated. Plus you get the option of getting it with those burnt tips.

Had my full ARK exhaust paired with ArK hfc best ever sound exhaust not too loud but very deep tone at whoot!

Try it under a bridge you'll have a grin as wide up your ears.

I have my ARK Grip paired with Z1,HFC's and Stillen headers and love it. Funny cause I never even looked at FI went strait for ARK :). FI is a great system tho

There is an Ark DT-S for sale in the classified for $1k shipped. It's only a slight less loud with stock cats but once you pair it test pipe or hfc sounds amazing, and you don't have to worry about scraping the cans when you lower your suspension.

Thanks for all the feedback -- I placed my order for the ARK Grip w/burnt tips earlier. Quite looking forward to getting it on the car!

Zoren -- I sent you a PM. Don't want to post pricing info in-thread, but I got it from JM Auto Racing. They're a forum sponsor here, and have been super responsive, and the pricing was great.
