Which test pipes will sound the best with AAM short tails?
Was thinking about FI non rest test pipes, but interested to hear the communities opinion. I'm all about it being loud, yet deep. Nothing that sounds too high
|
They will all be pretty close. It's just a hollow piece of metal.

some ART pipes from motordyne are the best compromise IMO |

a rough estimate from what I've seen without a tune maybe 5-7 hp ? with a tune a lot closer to 10 or so |
The vq engine makes fantastic noises forget a hfc get a tp my :twocents:
|
I was wondering if the check engine light would come on if I install, test pipe on my car due to the gas not being caught by the catalytic converter ??
thanks for answering and sorry for my poor English I'm french! |

I think you'll want HFCs if your looking for a deep sound. TP's make the car loud! With rasp a certain rpm's
|
TP's give more hp, they do have some rasp, and most have an o2 sensor connection so no CEL will go off. there will be a stronger smell of gas with TP's though. mine have some rasp between 2.5k-3.5k in the rpm range. to me all tp's are the same, it's just a piece of metal. to me there is no point in paying $500 for tp's, but everyone has their own opinion.

FI test pipes hands down.
I have proof if needed lol |
I had ART pipes with mine...still frickin loud. The sound is totally bad *** if you can live with the loudness. FI or ART pipes ftw!!!

I'd go with the resonated test pipes to keep the rasp down.

That's my video going up hill in 1st and 2nd on the stock nismo and then again in the S-Line mid pipes with Short Tails, both are with Berk non resonated test pipes. IMO it needs resonated test pipes. |
