newbie aftermarket exhaust questions

i am in the market for a Z and just took out a 370z with meisterschaft full exhaust, berk hfc and stillen intakes. it was like playing a video game. crazy cool but very loud. couldnt believe how loud it was upon startup... it was like a bomb went off. anyways, i realized for myself this setup was just too extreme for me.

i am now focusing on a new Z and will look to tune the exhaust at my own pace so that it sounds deeper and growlier. my understanding is that i can do it in steps. so my questions are:

1. which component do i start with, and in what sequence thereafter to get the sound im after? any brand recommendation would be appreciated.

2. i was told that an exhaust install will not require an ecu tune. at what point will it require one?

3. will any of these installations void the warranty?

thanks in advance as i am not well versed in car components. im sorry if these are dumb questions but i will tell you that ive read lots on this topic and i still cant quite get the answers im looking for. your patience will be greatly appreciated.

2. Correct. After two breather mods.
3. No.

I just had a Borla exhaust installed. Have K&N Typhoon intake and a lightweight flywheel.
After tune I'm running 312HP to the ground. I really like the Borla. It's nasty enough on startup to let everyone know you're around, but not obnoxious when you're driving.

i think i like the berk or the tanabe. are there any owners in the nyc area that have either? would love to stop by and hear it in person.
