AAM short tail fitment issues

So I purchased a set of used AAM short tails from a member here a couple of weeks ago. Initially I had some trouble getting them to line up properly and came up with what you see below. Comparing these to other pix I have seen these seem to stick out a tad far and the passenger side is hanging about a half of an inch lower than the other.

Any ideas? Should I loosen and reposition the tips? Redo the whole thing in the hopes that I can align them better?

Any input is greatly is greatly appreciated.

The easiest way to adjust the height is with washers. For the stick out, could the tails be for a nismo instead?

Just to confirm, where are washers placed?

I don't think these are nismo fitment as the tips aren't 5" could be wrong about pipes though.

The washers would go between the chassis and the hanger to lower it.

So this wouldn't be a viable option if I wanted to raise the passenger side tip?

Lowering the driver side to match the passenger side. If you want to raise the passenger side you would have to bend the hanger.

you can try loosening the passenger side up, and have one person hold it to the position you want with force as somebody else tightens the bolts up.

As the bolts get tight, you will feel the pipe fight you to go back lower, you can adjust a bit by holding it in place as the bolts get tighter.

and they dont look like aam short tails tips to me, could just be the angle. you got a shot of the tips directly behind and into the opening?

Any other ideas?

Compared to mine, it's looks about right. I did use the washers that came with the kit to adjust the height to even out both tails. I ordered the tails with titanium tips so it probably doesn't look as bad as polished tips with them sticking out further than OEM. I agree these do stick out further then OEM, but with me having the titanium tips I prefer the look. Here's a couple of pictures to compare to yours:

Hmm I wasn't even aware that washers came with the kit, is this so?

Wow fitment is that far off? Curious as to why they just didn't get it right while making the pipes

I don't believe is the matter of fitment issue. I have fast intentions Cbe, I had to adjust it with washers and a collar clamp. I read somewhere 2012s used a different hangers than the previous Zs.
