Test Pipes to High Flow Cats
Just installed FI Non Resonated Test Pipes. Not a fan. I have Stillen CBE now. Want obviously more power, but also want it louder. I'm now thinking about switching to Kinetix High Flow Cats. Anyone have any reviews on those.

You want it louder than non-resonated test pipes and think that going to high flow cats will accomplish that goal?
|
Question what don't you like about the test pipes? Besides it might not be loud enough I assume is iffy part
|
Test pipes are almost always louder and gain more power (with a tune) than HFC's.
But if you want really loud, you should get some long-tube headers and ditch the cat-back completely :bowrofl: |
I don't want louder than the TP. I want it to be louder than Stillen CBE that I have now. Test Pipes sound great at some RPM's. Not so much at others. So I'm thinking a good in between would be HFC.

volume, power, and tone problems solved. //end thread :tiphat: |
There is a difference between test pipes and high flow cats, but it is not that big of a difference. You could also look into Resonated Test Pipes. Will quiet them down a bit and remove some of the rasp.
|
Also the test pipes smell horrible.. Is it the same with high flow cats?
